Advertising Time! (Warning, may cause seizures)

Spent today making a zillion animated GIFs to use on Project Wonderful. It’s a web site where you bid on space on a variety of bogs and web sites. You can advertise for really close to free there, and it’s a great deal for any artist looking for exposure to their portfolio or prints! Project Wonderful really is amazing for advertisers– many web sites have ad space available for $0 so you can spread your ads far and wide for around 10 cents a day. If anyone’s interested in using it, let me know and I’ll write up a little tutorial. PW is AWFUL for publishers (unless you run massively-viewed webcomics) as you generally earn squat, but that’s what makes it great for us advertisers. :}

And WHY, after all these years, are animated GIFs still required to look like horrible cheesy relics of the 90s? You’d think they would have invented a GIF that can have over 256 colors… ah well. Yes, I know Flash exists, but Flash is for sissies. (Oh! Remember those random horrible “Under Construction” GIFs plastered all over every up-and-coming web site in the 90s? Including mine…)

Oh God.

      Hey Christa! Okay, I’ll make sure to put together some Project Wonderful advice. There are other tutorials on the web, but PW just redid their web site so the older tutorials can be a bit confusing. Hope everything is going great with you!

    Jade! I like your ads. They remind me of you. Because you are cute and weird too! I miss you <3 <3 less than three!
