Jade Nellans was born on an army base in North Carolina and spent her childhood years in Atlas, Michigan. After an impassioned youth spent drawing dragons and half-naked catgirls, she attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Illustration. Jade uses digital and traditional media to create illustration and design for product development, books, magazines, character art and design. Along with freelance work under jadefrolics, she imagines super cute graphics for children’s clothing at Carter’s in Atlanta, GA.

Jade’s major inspirations in life include catbutts, lobsters, and sugary cereals. Mainly catbutts.

Kitten is Jade’s cat and chief marketing specialist. Her hobbies include licking, scratching, reading and rolling about. She helps Jade in all areas of her career by lying on top of whatever paper she is drawing on, or leaving dead things in her slippers.
