Jade Nellans was born on an army base in North Carolina and spent her childhood years in Atlas, Michigan. After an impassioned youth spent drawing dragons and half-naked catgirls, she attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated with a degree in Illustration. Jade uses watercolors, colored pencils and digital media to create colorfully twisted illustrations. Along with fine art, she imagines strange and cute characters for products as the President of jadefrolics. She currently lives and works in Miami, Florida. 

Jade’s major inspirations in life include catbutts, lobsters, and sugary cereals. Mainly catbutts.

Kitten is Jade’s cat and chief marketing specialist. Her hobbies include licking, scratching, reading and rolling about. She helps Jade in all areas of her career by lying on top of whatever paper she is drawing on, or leaving dead things in her slippers.
